Chalet in Morzine, France

The owners of this chalet in the French Alps wanted their home to feel spacious and open and maximise the light and views of the dramatic scenery outside. A few walls were removed in the living area to open up the space, and some of pine ceilings and walls were plastered and painted to create a more balanced / less woody vibe. A contemporary feel was created by selecting furniture with clean lines in simple natural materials. The double height ceiling in the living room was accentuated by choosing furniture with a low, wide profile.
